THE VISION IN GREENTREE

“If you were only allowed to have once piece of equipment in your kitchen, only one, what would it be and why?”

Phil Scott, a widely experienced chef in cultures from all over the world stated that he; if he had only one piece to cook with in his kitchen, he would choose our Vision Cooking Centre.

Why does his response matter? I mean we would surely take the answer from a chef who has worked in 5 star restaurants seriously. Being responsible for hundreds of meals a night isn’t easy, so if he says the Vision Cooking Centre is his number one item, well we would definitely believe him! But we aren’t here to convince ourselves, we are here to show you what the Goldstein Vision is all about.

THE PHIL PROJECT

THE PHIL PROJECT
GEAR UP FOR WINTER WITH OUR VISION COOKING CENTRE

Phil Scott started his cooking career in England in a 3 star hotel and completed his training throughout college. After three years he moved to a 5 Star Hotel in Yorkshire and then at the young age of 20, moved to Canada to work at The Hotel Plaza in Toronto. Whilst in Canada he expanded his experience as the Sous Chef at the King Edward Hotel.

After this he purchased his first restaurant in Canada, Yoyo’s Restaurant, which was listed as one of the Top 100 restaurants in North America. Still don’t understand why you should believe his response? Well after almost nine successful years as a restaurateur in Canada, Phil wanted to his broaden his experience and techniques and moved to Sydney to work at the Radisson and then the Red Oaks Beer Boutique Café on Clarence Street. Then after 3.5 years he moved to the Hydro Majestic Hotel in the Blue Mountains. The list keeps going on but the main thing is that he ended up as the Chef Owner at The Greentree Restaurant in Springwood, one of the most delicious and creative restaurants in the lower Blue Mountains. The food isn’t food but more an art form, where a regular caramelized beetroot and cheese tart doesn’t look like a quiche, but more a construction of strategically placed ingredients that will leave you in awe of its beauty.
